Abstract

An assessment of the changing map of sub-saharan Africa, explaining the role of the domino theory in decolonization, the buffer zone in Southern Africa, and intensification of contrasts between core and periphery in South Africa. Trends toward devolution in many countries suggest that changes in Africa's political framework will accelerate. - (DWG)
