Abstract

The objective of this study is to gain insight into the impact of population pressure on the socio-economic organization of Javenese village communities situated in the dry-agricultural upland areas of central and east Java. Specifically, the study attempts to analyze the responses and consequences of sustained population growth with respect to the farming practices and the non-agricultural activities in these areas. - (AGD)
