Abstract

The phases of slope-waste accumulation are characterised by intense frost-shattering on bare slopes and subsequent reworking by gravity, slope-waste and solifluction. The oldest generation is represented by a small quantity of strongly cemented and eroded materials deposited prior to 0.25-0.29 MY. The second generation is related to terraced alluvial sediments| both deposits are strongly weathered to form a fersiallitic soil of Eemian age. This soil contains artifacts of the final Acheulean of Levallois technique attributed to the final part of the Riss Glaciation
