Abstract

The Cameron Highlands, the most famous hill station in Malaysia, is also a very important mid-latitude vegetable growing area. Some 47 per cent of the inhabitants are Chinese Malaysian. Farming is very intensive and is family labor. Most of the vegetables produced are transported to the main cities in Malaysia and 25-30 % are exported to Singapore. - (SGA)
