Abstract

The sparsity of resources, relative to the area at large and the cost of their development are the reasons for a discontinuous oasis pattern. Depending on suitable location certain arid areas have a potential for the resort industry as well as for the production of fresh vegetables and fruit to be marketed to consumer regions of different climatic seasonality
