Abstract

The A.A. show how the laboratory-derived understanding of rain-flow transportation may be applied to a field study of sediment movement and differentiation at the soil surface. In this case the sediments have been derived from red earth and earthy sand soils (Stace et al., 1968) that permit the rapid infiltration of surface water and occur in a landscape of low relief in inland North Queensland
