Abstract

The defined productive area is economically the most valuable portion occupied in the Upper Miocene by the Pannonian inland lake, where 81.6 per cent of the country's economically recoverable lignite reserves are concentrated. The establishment of open cast mines here should have precedence among the long-term plans for coal mining. (DLO).
