Abstract

Changes in soil morphologic properties assist in dating and correlating Quaternary deposits in the Rocky Mountains glacial sequence. Determinations of the ratio of acid oxalate to citrate-dithionite extractable Fe (Fe ratio) gives a trend with age that promises to add another relative dating method to the field of soil stratigraphy.
