Abstract

This tidally-eroded deposits have provided many fossil remains from a continental palaeoenvironment such as edentates, radents, artiodactyls, perissodactyls, birds, etc. This fauna is referred to the Lujanian Land Mammal Age (Late Pleistocene) and probably developed during a Pleniglacial phase of a Glacial Cycle (Fairbridge 1972) when sea level was lower than it is today.
