Abstract

The analysis of the thermal radiation in the atmosphere, considered separately for troposphere and stratosphere (St) and for regions with cloudiness n=0, n=1gives the following expression for the thermal planetary radiation N () of the latitude (in cal/cmmin): N=T +0,096 n+N () with =0,750 (10,704n). The interest of this expression as a tool for the theoretical analysis of climates and paleoclimates is shown with several examples.
