Abstract

Reflectance decreased with increasing moisture, texture coarseness, roughness and organic matter content. The combined effect of all these factors can be largely neutralized through the use of wave band ratios, three of which have been studied in more detail. Reflectance and soil cover percentage data measured on major crops throughout their growing season illustrate the effect of progressive greening on the spectral signature of the soil. (l'A.).
