La fracturation de l'avant-pays jurassien entre les fossés de la Saône et du Rhin. Analyse et essai d'interprétation dynamique

The fracturation analysis of the septentrional Jura and Jurassian foreland between bressan and rhenish troughts allow to discern two systems of wrench-faults: 1the jurassian system of pontian age with submeridian sinistral transverse faults and SW-NE to W-E dextral faults| 2the prejurassian system of oligocene age with N30 to N70 sinistral transverse faults and N110 to N150 dextral transverse faults. The prejurassian fracturation is interpreted in words "of Riedel" and we suppose the existence of a N60 basement feature "Le Creusot-Belfort" playing as a sinistral transcurrent fault during taphrogenesis. The extension of the graben is a consequence of this shearing stress, in a N-S general system of contraction. On the analogy of the P. Taponnier and J. Varet's model (1974) we propose to call transformzone "Le Creusot-Belfort" the tectonic connection between these two continental rifts.
