Abstract

Slushflows are rare phenomena in southeastern Canada. The AA. evaluate their geomorphic impacts in the Mt Albert area using morphosedimentary traits of multi-event slushflow deposits. They evaluate dendroecological impacts of slushflow activity in the forested, depositional area, and calculate from tree-ring data slushflow frequency over the last century. They also discuss site factors and specific meteorological conditions involved in the release of the 1988 slushflow event
