Abstract

This research investigates the variability of summer rainfall along the Yangtze River, and finds out how unusual the frequent floods during the 1990s are in the context of centurial and millennial records. Finally, the possible relationship between the surplus summer rainfall during the last 2 decades along the Yangtze River and the global warming is investigated
