Abstract

These methods developed in molecular biology have been introduced in time use research. They capture the similarity of activity-travel patterns, including sequential information, but based on a single attribute only. The extension to a multidimensional method induces the problem of combinatorial explosion. Effective heuristic methods are introduced.
