Abstract

This paper investigates geographic differences in disturbance-mediated population structure between 2 varieties of Pinus clausa (sand pine) : Pinus clausa var. immuginata and Pinus clausa var. clausa, in Florida. The AA. document demographic and ecological contrasts between the 2 varieties of sand pine, link these intervarietal contrasts to differences in prevailing disturbance regimes, and explore the implications of this geographic variability in disturbance regimes for land and vegetation management
