Abstract

On the basis of previous research on the climatic and vegetation history of Hungary and regular meteorological observations since 1841, author reconstruct the main geomorphologic processes of the holocene period. Author points out that the most optimal period for drift sand formation was the boreal. On the other hand, the small ice age and the climatic extremities of the following cold and wet winter periods were favourable for landslides. - (JS)
