Document title

Hydroclimate heterogeneity in the upper Deschutes River basin

Authors(s) and Affiliation(s)

SHELTON M.L. ;

Abstract

Watershed processes are modeled by dividing the upper basin of the Deschutes River (Oregon) into four units with maximum hydroclimatic homogeneity. Author finds greater diversity between the sectors than precipitation of runoff amounts would suggest. He argues for water management units based on groundwater couplings rather than on topographic divides. - (SLD)
