Abstract

This paper describes the results of an extensive field study of channel adjustment downstream from a dam and to compare the relative magnitude of channel adjustment to the relative magnitude of the changes in streamflow and sediment transport. This comparison is possible because a large unregulated tributary divides the study reach into an extensively regulated section and a partially regulated section. The AA. also describe how the style and magnitude of adjustment is affected by channel and valley type
