The Bhotiya practice seasonal and altitudinal migration and stay inside the reserve 6 months (May-October) each year. In the Reserve they cultivate medicinal plants. Goal of this study was to understand the socioeconomics of medicinal plant cultivation and evaluate the prospects of this practice in promoting sustainable development among the Bhotiya. - (SLD)
