Abstract

This study uses dendrochronological evidence to investigate the disturbance history of the Middle Fork Elk River watershed, and examines the spatial and temporal relationships among disturbance events of varying severity : blowdown, insect outbreaks, fire. These disturbances may influence one another temporally and spatially creating a mosaic of disturbance patches
