Abstract

This paper presents the results of a field experiment conducted on scoria cones on Marion Island in the maritime Subantarctic. The paper, which describes the results of the most detailed and extensive geomorphological process study undertaken in the Subantarctic to date, attempts to identify the processes responsible for downslope sediment movement, the rates of sediment movement and the controls on movement rates
