Abstract

The issues of location and management of large shopping centres and basic geographical aspects are indicated. The development of hypermarkets and shopping centres in czech Republic are described. The emerging of new consumer behaviour and some ways at research into this question within this special field of geography are characterised. The model follows the basic perspectives of social geography in transforming economy. - (MS)
