Abstract

In this paper the changes in the political geographical position of Hungary after the collapse of communism are examined. Special attention is paid to the gradual democratisation process of the country and the reestablishment of the old ties with the heart of Europe. Author summarizes and evaluates the cornerstones of the accession of Hungary to Euro Atlantic organisations like the NATO and the European Union. - (JS)
