Abstract

Knowledge and learning are widely recognised as major sources of economic development for firms and regions. In an environment that is increasingly shaped by volatile global processes, it has become essential for economic success to continuously generate access and use information and knowledge. The volume provides a set of eight papers of the 7th Dutch-German Seminar on Economic Geography. The case studies shed new light on the complex interaction between the regional and global scale of knowledge and learning. - (IFL)
