Abstract

Flood frequency analysis (FFA) is a form of risk analysis. The recent literature of FFA has been characterized by a proliferation of mathematical models used to extrapolate the return periods. This review in particular will consider the use of historical and palaeoflood data and its implications for the 2 strategies of curve-fitting
