Abstract

This paper presents economic potential of regions and the spatial structure of Hungary in the period of transition. Author describes models of uneven spatial development - models of spatial polarisation, models of development based on internal resources underwent significant development between the 1970s and 1990s, the centre-periphery models, the globalisation theories and spatial inequalities. The influence of most important economic partners of Hungarian regions has also taken into consideration. - (BJ)
