Abstract

Influence of hard-coal mining as regards changes in the relief of Wałbrzych Basin in the years 1975-1996. The management of waste materials from coal mining has caused an increase in the area of mining spoil heaps of about 783 ha, as well as about a c. 29,8 million m3 increase in volume. Settlement covers about 35 km2 of the Wałbrzych Basin, the area under mine dumps and settlers is actually greater than that of natural forms. - (BJ)
