Abstract

This paper explores how weathering pit depth can be combined with cosmogenic exposure ages to elucidate age relationships across a complex rock landscape. The study area lies in the Cairngorms Mountains, Scotland. Well-developed weathering pits on glacially exposed surfaces in other granite areas are potential indicators of glacial erosion before the Last Glacial Maximum
