Abstract

In this paper, a modified bank stability analysis is presented that attempts to make use of both the frictional strength parameter and the scale dependent cohesive strength parameter. The AA. have applied this model to the alluvial channels described by Hey and Thorne (1986). It is showed that this new formulation increases model accuracy, especially, for the more densely vegetated channel types
