Abstract

This paper presents the results of a long-term investigation of 2 blowouts in southwestern Saskatchewan. The morphodynamics of the blowouts were determined from a ten-year study between 1994 and 2004. The AA. compare measurements of sediment transport within the blowouts with climate data collected at the nearest meteorological station. Topographic changes in the 2 blowouts were assessed using arrays of erosion pins. The results from this study provide a contribution to the understanding of the climate controls and morphodynamics of continental blowouts
