Abstract

This study explores whether it is possible to assess forest site productivity in southern Finland, represented by height of Scots pine and Norway spruce, as a function of phytogeomorphological site variables as well as ages of dominant and subdominant canopy strata. This requires a large, high quality dataset covering a broad geographical area. Such material is provided by the ninth Finnish National Forest Inventory (NF19) covering southern and central Finland
