Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the erosional response of the prairie landscape to changes in land use over the last 100 to 150 years by juxtaposing recorded changes in land use in an area surrounding a lake and changes in erosion rate and sediment geochemistry prior to and following European settlement. The Thunstrom Lake, selected for this study, is located in southeastern Saskatchewan, Canada
