Abstract

This research includes a case-study investigation of how human modifications of landscape, combined with observed and modeled climate scenarios, affect water cycling at various scales in the Greater Indianapolis area. The AA. investigate this issue by combining recreations of historical land use (backcasts) with a hydrologic model that predicts surface and subsurface water flows, as well as by statistical analysis of historical streamflow and precipitation data, in the Greater Indianapolis area
