Abstract

Neoliberalism has seeped into interstices which govern everyday life in South Africa. It has caused hardship and this is evidenced by a number of community struggles around basic services. It is the struggles which give rise to alternatives to neoliberalism in terms of new organisational structures and politics. These alternatives are the subject of this paper. - (AJC)
