Abstract

Work referring to glaciohydraulic supercooling continues to fall into 2 broad categories : research that adopts supercooling as part of its explanation or analysis of glacial processes and landforms, and research that addresses supercooling as a poorly understood process to be explored or tested. In this progress report, the AA. review recent research and re-evaluate the status of this controversial topic, and focus explicitly on the potential of specifically geographical approaches to clarify some of the uncertainties that still limit our understanding of glaciohydraulic supercooling
