Abstract

This study focuses on the southern branch of the South Armorican Shear Zone, well identified in the Vendée area. Syntectonic intrusions, related to different shear zones, are used to define the regional deformation characteristics at the time of their emplacement. This tectonic and geochronological study, using granites as temporal and deformation markers, allows to propose a geodynamic model for the tectonic evolution of this part of the Variscan belt
