Abstract

This paper focuses upon the currently visible manifestations of past peat-cutting activities across a hillslide in the Faroe Islands and offers a general description of the resultant peatscape. In addition, it also outlines the misapprehensions that can occur when engaging in landscape study, with potential consequences for the reliable interpretation of historical features
