Marie et Pierre Curie, géographes

Authors(s) and Affiliation(s)

In their own way, Marie and Pierre Curie were peculiar geographers, who looked at the world with a kind of wide-angle lens, through which they managed to see, or at least, to know by intuition, theorize and then demonstrate certain dynamics from the inside. At the other end of the spectrum, that of the immensely large entities, there were universal objects and forces, which were mysteriously operating in a similar way. Moreover, Mr. and Mrs. Curie never forgot the intermediate realities between the two extremes, i.e. the human beings, who were always taken into consideration as addresses of the gratuitous gift of their discoveries. - (NF)
