Abstract

In this paper, the results produced by simulations using a mechanistic model of sediment transport by rain-impacted flow are used to illustrate how sediment transport by suspended load, raindrop induced saltation and flow driven saltation may influence sediment composition as slope length and storm intensity vary without factors such as aggregate breakdown and the development of surface crusts influencing the results
