Abstract

Method of directional statistic was used to express spatial dissimilarity of flood occurrence seasonality. Output resulting from application of this method is determination of the flood occurrences mean day within the year in the examined river basin and furthermore the time dispersion index of flood events.Based on these directional characteristics applied on sets of selected river basins, the Czech Republic territory can be divided into regions according to flood occurrence frequency in particular period of year. - (EN)
