Abstract

The aim of this paper is to investigate the rainfall–runoff–sediment transport relations and to assess the linearity of the hydrological and sedimentary response of the Isábena river basin, a highly dynamic Mediterranean mountainous catchment located in the Southern Pyrenees. Moreover, this work intends to improve the understanding of the factors that control sediment transport patterns and loads in mesoscale catchments
