In this paper statistics for the ages, the depositional scale and elevations, and the accumulation localities of the coastal dune rocks are used to compare with environmental events attributed to the change of sea level and climate in the Holocene period in South China. The response of the rock formation processes to the environmental events is clearly shown by the comparison which can be an easy explanation for the unsolved problems in the study of the coastal dune rocks in South China.
