Abstract

In this paper, the recession curve method is proposed to estimate groundwater residence time in a watershed of the Loess Plateau using the daily streamflow data covering 1954 to 2000 from 10 hydrological stations in the Wudinghe River Basin. The spatial and temporal variation of both the recession constant and residence time will be investigated with detailed discussions on the potential factors that may show impacts on them
