Abstract

The recent creation of Mozambique’s Limpopo National Park promises to effect profound political, social and ecological changes. However, conflicts between a wildlife sanctuary and local communities are evident. The experiences of earlier forced displacements of the local communities are remembered and the history of settlement is reconstructed as part of the complex identities attached to the land. - (AJC)
