Abstract

Explores issues relating to British migration and integration, from people smuggling to elite labour migration, and from the mobility of global corporate expertise to international student and academic exchange. It also explores the concepts of social capital, social cohesion and Britishness, and shows how religion, through aspects of Muslim behaviour, is becoming a boundary of Britishness at a time when sections of the ethnic majority evince scepticism about multiculturalism. - (HC)
