Abstract

This study was conducted on traditional cultivated fields in Niger, i.e. in conditions representative of the quantities and distribution of crop residues that are actually observed in the studied zone. The aim of this study is to quantify the amount of crop residues in traditional Sahelian fields and to determine its impact on wind erosion throughout the seasonal cycle, by monitoring the erosion flux and crop residues amount over several years
