This study has employed a substantial dataset of multi-year measurements from 180 gauging stations to investigate the spatial pattern of sediment yield in the Loess Plateau and to determine major factors that control the observed patterns of sediment yield. Particularly, the AA. investigated whether the NormalizedDifference Vegetation Index (NDVI), a readily available dataset, has close relations with sediment yield in the area
