Abstract

Republika Srpska, created during the Bosnian war by ethnic cleansing of the corridors linking the historical Serb-inhabitated areas, recognized in Dayton, has almost state-level rights. During the 15 years after Dayton, efforts made by the Republika Srpska aimed to administratively control this process. For this the minimum is to insist on the Dayton Peace Accords and obstruct all kind of reforms decreasing decentralization. In this logic the creation of an independent state is one of the possible outcomes. The paper's AA. argue that the territorial processes aim to strengthen the independent viability of Republika Srpska. - (AM)
