Abstract

In the study authors examined groundwater wells in five lowland settlements in different environments in Hungary. The variations were partly due to the different stages of development of the sewage system. The settlements also varied for the level of the groundwater and water permeability of the soils. Authors analyzed how the variations were manifested in the water quality of the groundwater wells. The following parameters of water quality were studied: pH, electrical conductivity, ammonium-, nitrite-, nitrate and ortophosphate concentrations. - (AM)
